Aidan's B-Day Weekend

Aidan is 4yrs. old now. I can't believe it has gone by so fast. After his concert we went back to Brian's parents' house for a "little" B-Day gathering. He got to open his gifts from all of the cousins which was a lot of fun dress up stuff.

This morning we had a little party for Aidan at the local Rec Center. We rented out a room for the kids to run around and play for an hour before coming back to the house for food and cake. It was a fun time.
The trampolines were by far the most popular thing.

My pretty girl. I love her so much.

All of the B-Day guests.

Cake time.

Relaxing after a long day of partying.

Frosty the Snowman

Here is what we have done with our morning. We woke up to lots of snow and after shoveling we went into the backyard and made our first snowman of the year. Aidan is singing "Frosty the Snowman" for his Christmas concert at school so of course he wanted to name him Frosty.

It's Christmas Time

Last night we decorated our Christmas tree. We had Gloria Estefan's Christmas CD playing and there was a lot of singing and dancing. This is my favorite time of the year. I love just after Thanksgiving, going and picking out a tree and decorating it together. The kids enjoyed putting the decorations on the tree, and we only had a few smash to the floor and break.

All was going well.......... for a little while at least until.......
Yes, that is our tree, lights and all, on the floor. Pretty funny. Brian didn't find it quite as humorous as I did. But, we managed to get it back up and believe it or not, it is still standing this morning. Here is the finished product.

Happy Thanksgiving

Just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I will post pictures later from our day, and "yes" we are celebrating up here!! Brian took the day off and we kept Aidan home from school today. The kids woke up and watched the parade and loved it. The turkey is in the oven, most of the desserts have been made and now we just have most of the finishing touches. Because it isn't a holiday up here, everyone still has to work. So we are planning dinner for 6:30 so all of Brian's family can make it over to celebrate with us. I love keeping my family's traditions strong even though we live in another country now.
We have so much to be thankful for this year, especially after everything with my Dad. I just want you all to know that I am thankful for all of my family and friends and I love you and miss you all!!!!!!!!! Hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Let it Snow

Well, I am finally back to the blogging world. Sorry it has been so long, but as most of you know, we have been very busy and travelling quite a bit these days with my Dad' s heart surgery and all. I want to thank you all again for all of your thoughts and prayers during this time, we are so grateful to have so many wonderful people in our lives. I am going to post some pictures from our time down there when I have a chance to really sit down and go through the 500+ photos from down there.

Anyhow, here are a few pictures of the snow we woke up to this morning. The first snow fall is always so pretty.

Santa Claus Parade

Last Sunday was the Santa Claus parade here in Toronto. It seemed like a perfect day for the parade. It was cold and snowy. I personally was frozen by the time we got back to the car to drive home, and so were the kids, but now all they talk about it wanting to go see the parade again. So, they obviously liked it enough to forget about the cold and freezing snowy part of it. There really is nothing better than seeing their faces when Santa comes and waves to them.
They really do light up.
