Bamma and Bampa Come to Visit

Bamma and Bampa (as Aidan likes to call his Gramma and Grampa) came to visit for 2 weeks during the holiday season. We picked them up from the airport on Dec. 22. Because we pick them up in Buffalo, we almost always stay overnight and drive back the next day. Aidan and Kirsten love it because they love to stay in hotels. Here are just a few shots from our night.... by the way all of these pictures are taken with my new camera that Brian got me for Christmas....I love it!!!!

Kirsten loves to look at herself in the mirror and make funny faces. She thinks she is a very funny girl, and so do we.

A few action shots. I was trying out the new camera and the kids were more than happy to keep running back and forth for me.
Kirsten and Bampa
Our first night back at home, Bamma decided to have a little fun. I am sure you can see the look on her face in the next few pix.....she is definitely up to something. Kirsten saw that she was eating M&M's (her favorite) and was stuck like glue to her. Everytime my mom would put a few M&M's on the arm of the couch, Kirsten would shove all of them into her mouth at once. Brian always says we need to teach her how to eat properly and after seeing this I really can't argue with him.
More M&M'sEnjoying the moment
Here is the end result. She ended up with about 20 M&M's at one point. She couldn't even close her mouth. It was very entertaining that's for sure, and messssssy!!!

Snowed In

We got a huge winter storm yesterday and we were snowed in. We tried to make the best of it by playing games, having chips and dip and making chocolate cake. It was a fun day (at least for those of us who got to stay in the house nice and warm). It took Brian, his brother and his dad about 3 1/2 hours to clear all of the snow. It was crazy. But I think it is safe to say that we will be having a white Christmas this year. Kirsten wanted to go outside so badly. She watched Brian clear the snow for at least an hour.
After the storm comes the fun part. We got to go out and play in all of the white stuff. I am still getting used to winters up here. It took forever to get ready with the snowsuits, boots, hats, mittens, scarves, extra socks, ets. just to go out for about 20 mins. But I guess as long as the kids have fun, right?????

It's Party Time

We had Aidan's official birthday party today. It was a whole day of fun. When he woke up this morning he came out of his room to his new train set. He was very excited. He has wanted a train set for quite a while. After that we went to his party. We booked a room and had a swimming party at a community center. Aidan said "It is a such a beautiful day" about 10 times today. I think it is safe to say he enjoyed his b-day.
Aidan and Kirsten still in their pj's with crazy bed heads.

Happy B-day once again Aidan, you are such a sweet and wonderful boy. Mommy and Daddy love you more than words can say. You bring so much joy and happiness into our lives.

Happy Birthday Aidan

Aidan's B-Day was on Wednesday, but because Brian was out of town for a conference, we decided we wouldn't do much until his party on the weekend. Clare and I went to the mall to do a little Christmas shopping and we thought we would take the kids to Johnny Rockets for lunch. Clare snuck off and told the waitress that it was Aidan's b-day so they came with balloons, and ice cream for the kids. They also sang Happy B-day to him. I'm 3!!

All of the kids with Auntie Melissa and Auntie Lin (and some strange man on the T.V. screen)

After the mall, we came back and had a cake for Aidan. We weren't going to open gifts until his party this weekend but after everyone else left, he got to open two gifts from Shealynn.

He now refers to himself as Bob the Builder with his new tool belt.

Here is his reaction to seeing he got a new guitar!

More Disney......Fun with Characters

Aidan and Kirsten had so much fun with all of the characters. Aidan was so excited to see all of them. His favorites were Mickey Mouse and Daisy Duck. At first Kirsten was a little intimidated by all of them, but after the first day, she loved them all. Pluto was her favorite. She didn't understand that she had to wait in line to see each of the characters, she just wanted to run right up to them and cut in front of everyone else in the line. She loved meeting all of the princesses. She wouldn't take her eyes off of them.

Disney Pictures

Well, there hasn't been a lot going on lately and since I haven't had a chance to do so, I figured this upcoming week I would post pictures from our trip to Disney World. Here are just a few of my favorite ones of Aidan and Kirsten throughout the week.
