B-Day Party at McD's

Yesterday we went to Aidan and Kirsten's cousin's B-Day party at McDonalds. They loved playing in the indoor playpark. Aidan went in and didn't come out for about 30 mins or so. He was climbing all over the place. The only problem was when it came time to come down, he wasn't quite sure about the spiral tunnel slide. He usually loves slides, but I guess this one scared him a bit. Well, his Auntie Melissa (whom is the shortest) had to climb all the way up and bring him down the slide, only to have him run back in and climb all the way up again. Kirsten would have liked to come down the big slide by all by herself but found that she was unable to climb up alone. So, I had to go through with her; it wasn't too bad, I only bonked my head a few times.

Besides the play park, Kirsten enjoyed trying all of the sauces for her nuggets. She liked them all but, I think bbq was her favorite. She managed to stay pretty clean.

Trip to the Science Center

We went to the Science Center last week. The kids love it. There is so much for them to do and there weren't many other kids there, so they had free reign over the place. Aidan and Kirsten's favorite room is the music room. They pretend to play guitars to the music and the lighting changes with the touch of a button. And best of all, they can watch themselves on the t.v. up on the wall. They love to perform.

Time for a puppet show.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. We sure did. I just want to wish you all the best for 2008. I wish I could say that we would be able to see everyone at some point this year but I know how unrealistic that is. I really do miss you all and hope you have a wonderful 2008.This year for New Year's we spent the evening at Brian's parents. We ate and played games (Cranium). It was a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures from the night.

My Mom and Lin (Brian's sister) celebrating
Brian, his dad and brother (James)
Mike(other brother) and Clare laughing at her husband
At 9:30 p.m. we had an early count down and toast for the kids.

Kirsten had a great night. Auntie Melissa got all of the kids special cookies for the night and Kirsten thouroughly enjoyed them. She's definitely her Mommy's daughter when it comes to sweets... we just can't get enough.

Brian's mom and my dad aren't ones for games so they spent most of the evening playing with the kids.

Christmas Night

Bampa having fun with Aidan and Kirsten. I think they look so much alike in these pictures playing with my dad.

Kirsten loved to look at the pictures with Bampa. Everytime he would take one she would run over to sit on his lap to look at them.
Me and my mom.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone!! I know this post is very late, but better late than never, right??? Christmas day is always very busy for us. We have our family time first thing in the morning(this year we had my mom and dad with us too), then we have a bigger one with everyone in Brian's family. Then later that evening we usually go to Brian's brother's house for Christmas Dinner. As I said it is a very busy day, but full of family and fun and it doesn't get much better than that, especially since my mom and dad were with us this year too.

Aidan taking it all in.
It was hard to get Kirsten out of bed. She didn't quite get it this year...hopefully next year.

Merry Christmas Bamma and Bampa! We were so happy to spend Christmas with you this year!!!!!

Every year when we get together with Brian's family, his brother Mike dresses up like Santa and brings the kids each one gift from his Santa sack. They all think that Santa makes a special stop on his way back to the north pole. It is pretty special to see their faces. It will be fun for a few years until they start to figure it all out.

Bamma and Bampa Come to Visit

Bamma and Bampa (as Aidan likes to call his Gramma and Grampa) came to visit for 2 weeks during the holiday season. We picked them up from the airport on Dec. 22. Because we pick them up in Buffalo, we almost always stay overnight and drive back the next day. Aidan and Kirsten love it because they love to stay in hotels. Here are just a few shots from our night.... by the way all of these pictures are taken with my new camera that Brian got me for Christmas....I love it!!!!

Kirsten loves to look at herself in the mirror and make funny faces. She thinks she is a very funny girl, and so do we.

A few action shots. I was trying out the new camera and the kids were more than happy to keep running back and forth for me.
Kirsten and Bampa
Our first night back at home, Bamma decided to have a little fun. I am sure you can see the look on her face in the next few pix.....she is definitely up to something. Kirsten saw that she was eating M&M's (her favorite) and was stuck like glue to her. Everytime my mom would put a few M&M's on the arm of the couch, Kirsten would shove all of them into her mouth at once. Brian always says we need to teach her how to eat properly and after seeing this I really can't argue with him.
More M&M'sEnjoying the moment
Here is the end result. She ended up with about 20 M&M's at one point. She couldn't even close her mouth. It was very entertaining that's for sure, and messssssy!!!
